Pictures from The All Bahamian Concert at Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas

THE bridge to Paradise Island was officially named after renowned Oscar-winning actor Sir Sydney Poitier today. Hundred of spectators witnessed the unveiling of a plaque that will be placed on an obelisk just to the west of the bridge.

Tropical Storm Nicole Pictures

The Bahamas is now felling the effects from Tropical Storm Nicole.

Tropical Storm Nicole strengthened from a tropical depression and was upgraded to a tropical storm this morning (Sept. 29) by the National Hurricane Center. Nicole has maximum wind speeds of 40 mph (65 kph). A system is upgraded to a tropical storm when it has winds stronger than 39 mph (63 kph).
